Using the metronome

The metronome creates its sounds in your browser using the Web Audio API. It does not request microphone access, record your instrument, or upload your playing. No account is required. Your tempo, meter, volume, sound, and training preferences are stored locally on your device.

Local storage and offline files

We use browser local storage to remember the preferences you choose. A service worker stores the app files and guides in the browser’s Cache Storage so you can use them offline. These features support the service you request; they do not create advertising profiles. Storage remains until you reset it, clear browser data, uninstall the app with data removal, or your browser removes it.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. When you connect, technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested URLs, and request times may be processed to deliver content, maintain security, and troubleshoot failures. This information is not the same as a recording of your music. Processing and retention depend on the hosting configuration and Cloudflare’s services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for more information.

Advertising and analytics

This version does not load Google AdSense advertising, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or session-recording scripts. The publisher-verification information on the website does not itself create advertising cookies. If advertising or optional analytics are introduced, this policy will be updated and the appropriate consent controls will be provided before those services are used where consent is required.

Google advertising, if enabled in a future version, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to provide, personalize, and measure advertising. Information may be shared with Google and advertising partners. You can read how Google uses information from partner sites and manage Google advertising preferences at My Ad Center. Those Google settings do not replace this website’s own consent choices.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive the address and information you include. We use it to answer your request and keep correspondence as needed for that purpose and any applicable obligations. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to explain your question.

Your choices and rights

You can reset local settings and offline files below, or use your browser’s site-data controls. Depending on your location and the information involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to make a request. We cannot normally link locally stored metronome preferences to you.

Children and music education

The app is a general-purpose practice tool. It does not ask for a name, age, school, or student account. If advertising is introduced, the operator must assess and apply any child-directed advertising requirements relevant to its audience.

Changes to this policy

We will publish changes here with a revised date. Any future optional data processing will be explained with the controls required for it.
